A recovery utility developed by Rev. Jay Werman for authorized church operators supporting Refuge & Biblical Counseling.
Current availability
The current release is a supervised evaluation. It uploads and retrieves generated fictional encrypted recovery files from the operator’s Google Drive. Full church backups, automatic scheduling and production recovery are not enabled. Do not use this evaluation to safeguard real counseling records.
How it works
- The operator authorizes limited Google Drive access using Google’s sign-in screen.
- The utility encrypts its fictional recovery file before uploading it.
- The operator runs a recovery check that downloads and authenticates that file.
The utility does not request your Google password. Its Google authorization is separate from the counseling app’s account and the church’s email service.
Before relying on backups
A successful file download is not a complete disaster-recovery test. A production system must also protect recovery keys independently, preserve current deletion records, test database restoration, and monitor failures.
