Walk together. Grow in truth.
Bible-based encouragement, spiritual growth and faithful follow-through for churches and Christian ministries with accountable leaders.
Free adult pilot in preparation. Refuge & Biblical Counseling is in development and is not yet available on the App Store. The initial pilot is planned for adults age 18 and older.
Care that continues between appointments
- Assigned member–counselor conversations and shared care plans.
- Scripture search, surrounding Bible context and saved verses.
- Church-approved resources, reading plans and follow-up reminders.
- Voluntary biblical assessments and a private progress journal.
- Church-managed invitations, counselor assignments and access reviews.
These features are being tested with fictional accounts. In-app reminders are not push notifications. AI counseling and in-app calling are not included in the initial candidate.
One app, clear responsibilities
Church administrators approve ministry practices, appoint counselors, manage access and arrange hosting and email. Counselors support their assigned members. Members choose what to share and can maintain their own private reflections.
Hosting explained simply
Your domain is the address people visit. Hosting is the service that runs your website. The app server handles accounts and care records. Buying a domain or installing an iPhone app does not by itself activate a church installation.
Members do not need to purchase hosting. Churches should first ask their existing provider whether it supports the final app requirements. Available storage alone does not establish compatibility. The current WordPress.com Business evaluation is not yet a self-service production installer.
- Choose a church administrator and a technical contact.
- Confirm compatible hosting, HTTPS, email delivery and protected backups.
- Practice on a separate test site with fictional records.
- Approve counselor qualifications, privacy practices and the church’s care approach.
- Test invitations, sign-in, recovery, assignments and restoration before real-member enrollment.
An illustrated in-app guide covers church setup, account help and journals. Public instructions and screenshots will be updated as the release is finalized.
Purpose and privacy
Created for churches, Refuge supports evangelical, Bible-based discipleship and the spiritual growth and restoration of people who have experienced new life in Christ. It is not medical care, psychotherapy, a diagnostic tool or an emergency service. Mental and physical health concerns should be addressed by qualified professionals; pastoral guidance should not delay appropriate care.
The app stores account and care information. Current care content is encrypted in server storage; this is not end-to-end encryption or a claim of HIPAA compliance. Hosting operators and server software remain part of the security boundary. Final privacy notices and user agreements will be published before enrollment.
