Satan’s Boundaries

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” Luke 10:18

An In-depth biblical analysis about the limits in which satan, fallen angels, and demons must abide. This is a essential knowledge that every christian must possess. Rev. Jay Werman

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Luke 10:19

Jesus took back the authority and power that Adam gave to Satan, and Jesus gave it to all those that believes in Him! Jesus set up satan’s boundaries. The expression “serpents and scorpions” symbolized “demonic powers”. Lucifer decided to crossed the boundaries that was placed on him, and paid the price for it. The same principle apply to any other beings that have rebelled against God. Lucifer was tested and failed, the angels were tested and one third failed, Adam was tested and failed, Jesus was tested and He succeeded. Every creature must be tested to determine his or her eternal responsibilities, and position. The testing period in the age of grace start when any person received Jesus as Lord, and savior, and it ends when the person’s life expires, o with the rapture. The result of this time period will determine his/her eternal responsibilities and position in the eternal kingdom of God.

We will explain the scenario that took place in the book of Job 1-2. Obviously, In this book are so many details revealed by God that it is impossible to explain them all in this topic, but we will cover the most important ones. We will search and connect these passages back and forth.

A comprehensive explanation of key words in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28

The greek word “Tartarus” and its meaning

Satan’s limited ruling upon man

The casting down of Lucifer from the third heaven

The pre-adamite world described in Jeremiah 4:23-26

among others…

The chapters 1-2 of the book of Job offers a open windows into the spiritual realm. There many passages throughout the scriptures that shows such celestial events. The problem with a lot of christian people is the lack of commitment with God. Nowadays, satan has brought up so many distractions into the lives of christian people that most of them lost their passion to know God’s truths. Even many ministers had lost that desire as well. No wonder the spiritual state of the christian church today is disgraceful. Revelation 3:16

“Now there was a day when the sons of God (angelic beings) came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

Job 1:6

The expression “the was A DAY” it’s used twice in the first 2 chapters of the book of Job. 1:6; 2:1. It implied that celestial beings report back to God in the regular basics. Satan is not the exception to this rule as it is shown here in the book of Job 1:6; 2:1. The expression “sons of God” is used 5 times in the O.T. and is always used in reference to “angels” and not to man. This is according the the context in which this expression is used. Here is the use of the hebrew word for “son” in the hebrew language:

  1. son, grandson, child, member of a group
  2. son, male child
  3. grandson
  4. children (plural – male and female)
  5. youth, young men (plural)
  6. sons (as characterisation, i.e. sons of injustice [for unrighteous men] or sons of God [for angels])
  7. people (of a nation) (plural)
  8. of lifeless things, i.e. sparks, stars, arrows (figuratively)
  9. a member of a guild, order, class

The following passage also made reference to the angels:

“When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

Job 38:7

Unfortunately, Man lost his position before God when Adam surrendered his will to satan, but Jesus came to restore man back to the position that he lost when he disobeyed God.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

John 1:12-13

Let’s keep analyzing the key words in the passage of Job:

“And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 1:7

Satan searching constantly the events that are taking place in the affairs in earth. The same expression used in Job of satan searching the earth is also registered in the book of Zechariah 1:7-11 Celestial beings that were riding “spirit horses”, and scouting the earth, and later given report to the Lord of theirs findings. In Zechariah 1:10-11 its used the same expression as in Job 1:7.

“I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.”

The spirit horses are literal and not symbolic. Compare with Revelations 19:11-21; 2 Kings 2:11; 6:14-17. These celestial beings are send back and forth between the third heaven and earth each time is requires it. As like the case of chariots, horses and riders, which took Elijah to the third heaven. 2 Kings 2:11. Celestial beings also were sent to protected Elisha as it is stated in 2 Kings 6:14-17.

Job 1:7 expressed how satan, the fallen angels and demons search and inspect the earth in a continue motion. They search for any reason that they can use to accuse man before God. Satan knew already details about Job when God asked him;

“And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Job 1:8

And Satan replied back:

“Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?”

Job 1:9

The Hebrew word used for “nought” is “chinnâm”, which mean, “freely, for nothing, and without cause”. Even revealed that satan knew the motivation of Job in serving God. The word is connected with the blessings upon Job in verse 10.

“Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”

Job 1:10

The Hebrew word used in Job 1:10 for “hedge” is “śûk”, which mean, “to hedge or fence up”. It expresses the idea of a “barrier or boundary is placed upon”.  Verse 10 clearly says that this barrier was placed “about or around HIM, HIS HOUSE and ABOUT ALL that he hath on EVERY SIDE”. This is God’s protection upon Job because he “feared (respect, honor and reverence) God”. Satan Couldn’t trespass this barrier placed upon Job, unless he obtain God’s permission.  But God knew that Job’s heart wasn’t upon his possessions, which was the result of God’s blessings. Right here is where the majorities of people get confuse and misinterpret the event registered in the book of Job. Satan asked God to removed this barrier so that he can prove that Job was serving God because of the blessings, but God knew perfectly Job. So, God allowed satan to test Job. It is critical to understand the differences between “the permissive will of God” and “the perfect will of God’. Both are clearly expressed in the entire Scriptures and both needs to be comprehend in their own context. We will explain the differences between both but not extensive because that will deviate us to a different subject.

The Permissive Will of God. This is when God “allowed” certain types of events, situations, or acts to take place”. God’s permissive will is allowed when the subjects of God’s kingdom are not willing to obey the law established by God. When Adam sinned, he passed from a perfect state to a imperfect state, which was brought about by his own decision. The imperfect state carried a different ruler over Adam and Eve because of their sinful nature. Once they entered into this area, they were under a “permissive will of God”, which it placed them over a totally different scenario. God was no longer their God and ruler and they will suffer the consequences of their actions. God advised them not to eat of the forbidden fruit, but the decision was freely from them. Gen. 2:17. God, who became their judge, implemented the punishment for their transgression. Gen. 3:16-17. God’s permissive will is in operation when any creature moves out of God’s perfect will. Lucifer and the fallen angels, decided willingly to step out of God’s perfect will and now they are walking under God’s permissive will. They broke God’s law and they sinned willingly and were cast out of God’s heaven, and satan became the ruler of everyone that rebels against God.  Isa. 14-12-14; Luke 10:19; Rev. 12:7-12

The Perfect Will of God. The kingdom of God is rule by God’s will and every subject of his kingdom must obey His will. God’s perfect will was established along with His creation in Gen. 1:1, but in Gen. 1:2 the earth became under judgment because of the rebellion of Lucifer, fallen angels and the pre-Adamites. God restored earth back to its original state in Gen. 1:3-2:1. God created man and gave him a free will. Lev. 19:5; 22:29; Mat. 16:24; Luk. 9:23-24; Jn. 1:13; 1 Cor. 7:36-37; 1 Pet. 4:3; 2 Pet. 1:21; Rev. 11:5-6; 22:17. The expression “I will” is used over 200 times in connection with man in the book of Psalms alone.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:2

Most people blame God of events, o things that God has nothing to do with it. The lack of knowledge of the Word of God is the reason for this. It’s easy for man to blame others for their own mistakes. Adam was the first one to do this.

“And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”

Genesis 3:12

Genesis 1:1 shows “the perfect will of God” in full display, but it was interrupted by the rebellion of Lucifer, and Adam. It will be put back in place in full display again after the earth is cleanse by fire and the New Heaven and the New Earth is established as it is shows in Revelation 21- 22; Isaiah 65:17; 66:22-24; 2 Peter 3:13. Even in Lord’s prayer this concept is stated:

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven

Matthew 6:10

The expression “kingdom” implied “God absolute authority and power upon all his creation”. All the rebels must be subjugated and punished before God can re-establish His absolute dominion upon all things. When will this happen? In Revelation 20 details all over it:

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

Verses 7-9

These passages shows that satan is limited by God, even predict the imprisonment of this fallen angels, which is ordered by God himself. In verse 9 describe the way God will destroy everything that is upon the earth; “and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them”. In Genesis 1:2 shows how God destroyed everything with a universal flood, but after satan is loosen from the bottomless pit, everything will be destroy with fire. Every building, bridge, monument, and everything under the sun will be consumed by fire. Then after that, God will restore the earth for the third time and everything will be like it was in Genesis 1:1; which is perfect! All those people that have spent all their lives building things here on earth, will found out that nothing will last forever. By the way, this sure be a warning for all those leaders in the churches, who are more concerned, or worried, about the physical structure where they gather than doing God’s will. All those physical structures will be destroy by fire, no matter who builded them.

The sinful nature gave authority to satan over man, since the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden, which is described in Gen. 3:1-19.  This right or authority that was given to satan to control and operate on the earth is subject to God’s boundaries, which mean, that satan, the fallen angels and demons MUST abide by this limitations. The book of Job arranges some of these boundaries placed by God. The majority of the people who reads the book of Job has misunderstood the lay out of these boundaries and had created many false doctrines and fallacies. Unfortunately, we can’t explain these restrictions placed over satan ruling upon man, because it will deviate us from the main subject. So, we will arrange the basic idea given in the book of Job. God opened up a window in “the spiritual realm” in the Chapters 1 and 2, so that we can SEE and UNDERSTAND these boundaries by which satan is limited.

The following passages shows an angel coming down from the third heaven and chain up satan for 1,000 years. So, after satan is cast out of heaven by Michael and his angels in the middle of the great tribulation. Rev. 12:7-9. Satan’s boundaries is clearly shows throughout all the scriptures.

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

Revelation 20:1-3

Satan was limited in his actions from the very beginning, when he was still an angel of God. After he was cast out from the third heaven, he actions are still limited, but when Adam, betrayed God, he give satan more territory to operate. Jesus came to recover that territory from satan, and to give it back to man. Satan has made believe that he still owns that territory in man’s lives; with lies and deceitful teachings, he still claims that he has not lose anything. We will answer all these false claims. The sad part is that most born again christians ignored these biblical truths. Satan had fabricated many types lies to made christians believe that he still have power over them, and those who doesn’t know God’s word, falls into satan’s lies. Jesus had defeated satan, the fallen angels. demons, and any other type of evil power. The church is supposed to enforce the victory of Christ over the power of darkness, but the church changed their direction and now is being distracted by satan’s deceitful ways. There will be a day when the church will regain their senses and will wake up to the fact that we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. As it is stated in the following passages:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:28-39

These powerful passages expressed the position of every born again and yet, we see a church distracted by pursuing material things. Others, keep living their lives as if Christ never paid the price for them. All these things will come to an end before the Lord Jesus comes again for his church. But many christians will lose rewards for their lack of belief and action in God’s word. The greek word “I am persuaded” used by Paul in Romans 8:38 is “peithō”, which implied “to believe firmly in the truth”. This conviction is the result of knowing God’s word. Satan, the fallen angels, and his demons will be cast out forever into the lake of fire. God will be the Supreme ruler of the universe again as it was in Genesis 1:1. Everything will be perfect and in complete harmony as God intended when He created all things. Genesis 1:1 it shows God ruling in harmony and in Genesis 1:2 it shows the chaos that was brought upon the universe because of Lucifer’s rebellion.

We will explain in details the key word used in all these passages.

The scriptures reveals the limitation of satan’s ruling upon the earth. Even though there is a lot of information about Lucifer, the fallen angels, demons, and other spirits beings, the scriptures expressed some of the boundaries these creatures possess. If we know where to look for, that is. We don’t need to speculates about it, since we have this information in plane view. Every creature that God have created have boundaries, regardless of the position these creatures have been given by God. Why the scriptures doesn’t reveal more details about it? Because the scriptures was given to us so that we can understand God’s redemption plan. The scriptures can not contained every little detail of every single incident that had happened in every realm. The scriptures was given to man, and for that reason it is limited to cover God’s relationship with man and every detail involving man’s actions. So, Let’s detail the passages that shed light on it.

Lucifer was created to serve God but he decided to rebel against God and took with him one third of the angels. Here are some of these passages, alone with the explanation of it.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Isaiah 14:12

First, This passage clearly states that Lucifer was “Cast out of Heaven”. This is the third heaven, which is God’s heaven. Every angelic being has they origine in God’s heaven, and Lucifer was not the exception to this rule. When God inspired the prophet Isaiah to write about this event, it was with the intention to give us a window into the events in the third heaven. God throw out Lucifer out of the third heaven for his rebellion. The hebrew expression used in Isaiah 14:12 for “art thou fallen” is “nâphal”. It is a primitive root; to fall, in a great variety of applications (intransitively or causatively, literally or figuratively, and each one must be place into their proper context. “nâphal” which means:

  • to fall, lie, be cast down, fail, to fall upon, attack, desert, fall away to, go away to, fall into the hand of.
  • to cause to fall, fell, throw down, knock out, lay prostrate (lying stretched out on the ground with one’s face downward)
  • to overthrow, to make the lot fall, assign by lot, apportion by lot, to let drop, cause to fail (figuratively),
  • to throw or prostrate oneself, throw oneself upon, to lie prostrate, prostrate oneself.

So, “How art thou fallen” is taunting the way Lucifer was cast down from the place of his creation. The same apply to all the angels that had decided to follow Lucifer’s path. God addressed Lucifer’s case in Isaiah 14:12 because he was now their leader. But the fact of the matter is that Lucifer was cast out from heaven for his rebellion. This expresion implied “Used of force to cast him out of heaven” and that he was thrown out in a literal sense, which means “Force out bodily”. To expelled Lucifer from the third heaven, God used a superior power and force. This act was done by God himself, sending a message to all the angelic beings of the consequences of disobedience. As we explain the key words involved in these passages, the more clear will be the scenario that took place when God cast him out of heaven. This is corroborated by the testament of Jesus in the following passage:

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”

Luke 10:18

This refer to the same event that is described by Isaiah 14:12. The differences between the passages is that Jesus used the name of “satan” instead of “Lucifer”. Later we will study the passages that deals with lucifer’s failed invasion to the third heaven, and for which he was thrown out. It’s essential to know all these details in order for us to have a completed picture of satan’s boundaries. But God himself cast out Lucifer and one third of the angels for rebellion against their creator. In the book of Revelation 12:7-9 describe a future war between God’s angels and satan and his angels.

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Revelation 12:7-9

This war will be the last one between angelic beings, where satan will be stripped off of his possession of the heavenlies places. Observe the following passages:

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience”

Ephesians 2:2

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ephesians 6:12

Satan will be cast out from the heavenly places for ever, he will be cast out by God’s angels. God already defeated satan, the fallen angels and his demons, but because Adam gave satan the right to rule upon man, satan will no be cast out from this heavenly places until the second half of the great tribulation. Satan will be thrown out “into the earth” and he won’t have no more access to the heavenly places.

The first time Lucifer was thrown out from the third heaven was thousand of years before Adam’s creation, he was a fallen angel when the events of Genesis 3:1-6 took place. The second time that he will be cast out from the heavenly places will take place in the middle of the great tribulation, right after the 144,000 or “the man child” is caught up into God. Rev. 12:5.

But the fact is that Lucifer was cast out for “treason against God”. So, let’s keep breaking down the key words in Isaiah 14:12.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!”

Continuation of Isaiah 14:12

The hebrew word used for “lucifer” is “hêylêl”, which mean: “light-bearer”, also is translated “shining one, morning star, Lucifer”. Also is used as “of the king of Babylon and Satan (figuratively)”. “Helel” describing the king of Babylon. In the same verse called Lucifer, “son of the morning”, the word “morning” come from the hebrew word “shachar”, o “Dawn” (literally, figuratively or adverbially): – day (-spring), early, light, morning, whence riseth.

“…how art thou cut down to the ground”

Continuation of Isaiah 14:12

This hebrew expression means as follow:

  • to fell a tree; generally to destroy anything: – cut (asunder, in sunder, down, off), to cut, hew, chop, cut down, hew down, hew off, cut off, cut in two, shave off.

This expression described the way satan was cast out from the third heaven, after he was intercepted by God in his invasion of the third heaven, which is where God have his throne. If we align the statement of Jesus in Luke 10:18 and the statement here in Isaiah 14:14, we can have a more precise image of the casting out of Lucifer, which is the punishment for deceiving all the nations that existed at that time. Again, the scriptures doesn’t revealed too many details about this subject, but only a small window, so we can have an idea of the events that occurred. It’s also unknown the length period of time in which Lucifer ruled the earth but it was a sustancial time. In Genesis 1:1 we found the earth and the universe created perfect. Then in Genesis 1:2, this perfection was destroyed but judgement. The gap between verse 1 and 2 is found in Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Jeremiah 4:23-26. The statements expressed in the scriptures are with the purpose of enlight us in the events that happened and remove any confusion that might rise for the absence of details. The scriptures can not contain all the details that had happened in every event described in it, since the basic purpose the scriptures is to bring man in reconciliation with God. But one day, once we are reunited with our creator, we will have any question answered.

“…which didst weaken the nations!”

Continuation of Isaiah 14:12

This refer to “the nations” that existed at that time, and were under the ruling of Lucifer. This nations were “weaken” by lucifer with the purpose of invading God’s heaven. This nations were located here on earth and not in heaven, and were ruled by Lucifer since the original creation of the earth. The period of time is unknown but it was the ruling of Lucifer upon the earth. The hebrew word used for “nations” is “gôy”, which is used hundreds of times for “Gentiles, nations, people, heathen”. This word is never used for “angels”. He convinced all his subjects to rebel against God and invade the third heaven. In the book of Jeremiah 4:23-26 these nations are called “men” and not angels. Jeremiah described the period of time in which Lucifer ruled the earth and the judgment that came after his rebellion. In the book of Ezekiel 28:11-19 also is used the hebrew “gôy” in reference to Nations of men, and not angels. There was nations of men in the time of Lucifer’s ruling upon the earth? Yes. They all perished when the universe was destroyed with a universal flood. The period of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 is unknown, but in Genesis 1:1 God created perfect everything. In Genesis 1:2 Judgment came upon the creation because of the rebellion of Lucifer and the nations under his ruling.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Genesis 1:1

All were created perfect and was given temporary to Lucifer to rule but he failed, and then, came the judgement that left the universe in complete destruction as it is stated in the following passage:

“And the earth was (became) without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Genesis 1:2

Notice that in verse 2 it is used the hebrew word “hâyâh” for the word “was”, which means

  • “to become, to happen, fall out, occur, take place, come about, come to pass, to come about, come to pass, to come into being”

The earth “became without form and void” because of Lucifer’s rebellion. God doesn’t creates things “without form, and void”. The darkness was upon the earth because the universal flood destroyed everything. In Genesis 1:3 God “restored” the earth to the second perfect state and second habitation. This time God put a man in charge of his creation. By the way, the hebrew expression used in Genesis 1:2 “without form, and void” is “tôhû va bôhû”, wich means; “waste and empty. The same expression is used in Jeremiah 4:23, which is used in the same context. Did God created in the beginning the earth “without form and void”? of course not. Here is a passage that confirmed it:

“For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it (The Earth) not in vain (tôhû), he formed it (The earth) to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.”

Isaiah 45:18

The hebrew word used in Isaiah 45:18 for “vain” is “tôhû”, which means “without form, empty, waste”. In Genesis 1:1 God did not created “tôhû va bôhû”, o “without form, o void”. It became that way because of Lucifer’s rebellion. Genesis 1:2 shows the chaotic state in which the earth became because of God’s judgement.

The hebrew word used for “weaken” is “châlash”, which means:

  • to be weak, be prostrate, by implication to overthrow, decay: – discomfit, waste away, weaken. The idea in the context behind the word “weaken” is that every subject under the ruling of Lucifer was “stretched out with face on the ground in adoration or submission”.

This is the reason of his rebellion, he wanted to be “worshipped” by all his subjects. He didn’t want to obey God any longer. This is confirmed by the statement express in verse 13 of Isaiah 14. Let’s break it down:

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north”

Here is what the passage says:

  • For thou hast said in thine heart. This is Lucifer conceiving in his heart the rebellion against God. This is the beginning of his steps to invade the third heaven.
  • I will ascend into heaven. This statement debunk the theory that Lucifer was serving in heaven when he decide to rebel. The expression “I will ascend” implied the fact that Lucifer was on earth when he conceived the idea of invading God’s heaven. The word “heaven” in the context of these texts is connected with God’s heaven, and not the atmosfear. Here in Isaiah 14:13 we can see the steps that Lucifer took after he conceived his betrayed.
  • I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. The hebrew word used for “exalt” is “rûm”, which means: “to rise, rise up, be high, be lofty, be exalted, be uplifted”. THe idea shed in this word is to “rise up higher”. What was lifted up according to this passage? Lucifer’s throne. This means that Lucifer’s throne was on earth and not in the third heaven, but he wanted to “rise up his throne”. The expression “the stars of God” in this passage implied “the grand total of planets in the universe” created by God. Noticed how far in the universe Lucifer wanted to “rise up his throne”; It says “Above” the stars of God. The Hebrew word used for “above” is “ma‛al”, which means “higher part, upper part (substantive), above (adverb), on the top of, above, on higher ground than (preposition), upwards, higher, above (with locative)”. This word shows that Lucifer conceived his betrayed when his was on earth, and decided to be like God by rising his throne higher than the universe, where God have his own throne. Lucifer was not in God’s heaven when he decided to rebel. Also, he convinced all his subjects to rebel against God when he was on earth. At the same time, he also deceived one third of the angels.

“And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”

Revelation 12:4

This passage shows how many angels were deceived by Lucifer; “Third part of the stars of God’s heaven”. These fallen angels will be part of the future war described in Revelation 12:7-9.

  • I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation. The “Mount of the congregation” is a mountain in the third heaven where all the celestial beings gathers to regular worship. Observe the statement in the passage “I will SIT UPON the mount of congregation”. Which means that Lucifer wanted to be worshipped by all the celestial beings as God is worshipped. The hebrew word is “yâshab”, which is translated “Sit” but means that he wanted to “dwell, remain, abide, sit upon”, once he reached that mountain. Lucifer knew the type of worship that was giving to God in the mountain by all the celestial beings, and he wanted for him, forgetting that he was created to worship God. Being regularly worship in this mountain, God was recognized as “The supreme ruler of all things”. Lucifer wanted to have the type of worship, but he was just another subject of God’s kingdom. Every being created by God is put on “test” to determine their eternal position. Lucifer failed this test, along with all his subjects. The fallen angels failed this test as well. There are 2 types of fallen angels; Those who are ruling with satan, and those lock up in the tartarus for leaving, o not keeping their first state, as it is expressed by the following passages:

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment”

2 Peter 2:4

The expression “spared” used in 2 Peter 2:4 is from the greek word “pheidomai”, which means: “to abstain, forbear, or spared”. The verb “pheidomai” imply “politely or patiently restrain an impulse to do something”. God did not spared the fallen angels that decided to fornicate to prevent the seed of the woman to be born. God did not refrain from punishing these fallen angels for their sinful act. According to 2 Peter 2:4 these fallen angels were “cast down to hell”. These fallen angels that commited “fornication” were tied up in chains, and throwing down in complete darkness. The greek verb used here by Peter is “for Cast them down to hell” is “tartaroō”, which means:

  1. “From Τάρταρος Tartaros̄ (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment: – cast down to hell”
  2. “the name of the subterranean region, doleful and dark, regarded by the ancient Greeks as the abode of the wicked dead, where they suffer punishment for their evil deeds; it answers to Gehenna of the Jews”
  3. “to thrust down to Tartarus, to hold captive in Tartarus”

Again, the greek verb for hell is “tartaroō”, which is a place of darkness exclusive for fallen angels. These fallen angels are also “chain up”, or “seira” from the greek, which means: “a line, a rope, a chain”. An angel from the third heaven will come down and will chain up satan, and throw him into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years, according Rev. 20:1-3. In 2 Peter 2:5 also expressed the same idea of God not refrining himself from bringing judgement upon the old social system. Genesis 6:1-8:22.

“And spared not the old world (social system), but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly”

2 Peter 2:5

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly”

2 Peter 2:6

In the verse above (v.6) God did not refrain himself from turning these cities into ashes because of their sinful acts. The idea expressed by Peter in verses 4-6 is that if God did not spare the fallen angels, the inhabitants of the earth in Noah’s time, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha, he will no refrain himself from punishing any man who lives in a corrupt manner, which include any backslider. read verses 9-22.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he (God) hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

Jude 6-7

By the way, “Darkness” is always the result of judgement, which is the same principle applied in Genesis 1:2. This fallens angels are “chained up” in this place called “tartarus”. There are fallen angels that are ruling with satan and those lock up in complete darkness. These fallen angels are in this place because they commited “fornication”, as it is stated by Jude 6-7. This union between fallen angels and women produced the giants described in Genesis 6:1-4. Jude verse 7 expressed that God placed these fallen angels that committed Illicit sexual acts in the tartarus “Are set forth for an example”, so other fallen angels were refrain from committing the same type of transgression against their own nature. Observe the following passage:

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

Genesis 6:4

The expression “In those days” implied “In the days before Noah’s flood”, and there were giants “after that”. These giants appeals in the books of Exodus, numbers and Deuteronomy. But these giants were the results of the union between fallen angels and women. Why these fallen angels decided to commit such trasngregation? They were trying to corrupt every woman so “the seed of the woman” couldn’t be born.

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:15

This passage predicted the fall of satan and his dominion. This is the reason that motivate all these fallen angels to fornicate with women; to corrupt them so there were no woman able to gives birth to the seed. Also to rise an army of giants to eslaves men, and if the seed of the woman was able to be born, these giants will fight against him. But all these abomination were stop by God by placing these fallen angels into the tartarus as an example to other fallen angels. One thing worth mention is that the word used in Genesis 3:15 for “seed” is -zera‛-, which means: “seed, sowing, offspring, semen virile, and of moral quality”. So, in Genesis 3:15 it meant “semen virile”, which is a reference of the one that will “bruise” satan’s head. Woman does not produce “semen”, this is given, o produce by man. So, why in Genesis 3:15 is used such expression? Because “the SEED of the woman” will come from God himself. The woman was the channel from which the seed (of God) will be born in this world. God couldn’t just show up the take everything back, because he gave it to Lucifer first, then destroyed everything as it is stated in Genesis 1:2, and restored again and gave it to Adam, but he gave it back to satan. So, God needed to his “seed” to be born as any other man is born, so that His seed will have the right to operate in this world. Not like satan that his used deceitful ways to regain control of the earth. This is the reason why God gave the Genesis 3:15 prophecy. Paul made this very clear in Galatians 4:

“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”

Verses 4-5

The greek word used for “made” is “ginomai”, which means: “to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being”, “to become, i.e. to come to pass, happen. In reference of events”, “to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage”, “to be made, finished. Used of miracles, to be performed, wrought – formed o created”. But the used in Galatians 4:4 it means that the seed of God become into existence through a woman. This is why the fallen angels sought to corrupt women by having sexual intercourse. Genesis 6:4. They understood what God meant when He said “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15. They knew that if the seed of the woman was born, they will be punished for helping satan to deceive man. Obviously they didn’t comprehend the full meaning of the prophecy expressed by God. God need a woman to give him the right to place his seed into her womb and allows the Son of God to be born into this world. God foresaw into the future and saw Mary as that woman.

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Isaiah 7:14

That “Son” was the seed of God. The greek word “ginomai”, o “became into existence” is used again in reference to the seed of God:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made (greek “ginomai” which is “became into existence”) that was made. (verses 1-3) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

John 1:1-3, 14

Let’s process to breaking down the key words in Isaiah 14:12-15, which involve the original fall of Lucifer as well as his final throwing down to the lake of fire. Compare to Revelation 20:10. When this event takes place all the rebels will end up in there. The subject matter of Isaiah 14:15 is the punishment of the rebels.

Here is the explanation of the last part of Isaiah 14:13.

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:”

Isaiah 14:13

To what is referring in the last part of this passage? Well, let’s review the key words in the beginning of the verse 13: Lucifer conceived his sin in his heart by decided to ascend to the third heaven and to exalt his throne above the stars of God. Now, notice the following part of this passage..”I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation”. Lucifer wanted to be seated upon the mount where all the celestial beings regularly worship God, The Mount of Congregation. Where is this mountain located? In the third heaven. Now, look at the sequence expressed in verse 13;

  • I will ascend into heaven. God’s heaven, which is the place where God is worship and rules.
  • I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. Here expressed that God’s heaven is above the stars, where he wanted to exalt his throne, or place of ruling.
  • I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation. To be worship as God is Worshipped.

So, the expression “In the sides of the north”, means that God’s heaven is located “in the north sides of the universe. Every single celestial being knows where is located the third heaven. In the book of Job shows 2 occasions when angels went to God’s heaven to present themselves to Jehovah. Every single created being most give account of their activities to God. As it stated in the book of Job 1:6; 2:1. God opened a window of the spiritual realm in the book of Job 1:6;2:1 with the purpose of showing the events that takes place regularly in God’s heaven. Most people that read the events of the book of Job 1-2 endup with the wrong conclusion. But satan knows where God’s heaven is located since he have to present himself to report his activities to God. This access to the third heaven will end when he will be cast out by Michael:

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Revelation 12:7-9

It’s interesting the expression used in Revelation 12:8 “And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven“.

So, The third heaven is located “…In the sides of the north” of the universe. By the way, God’s heaven is a literal place, where spiritual beings live and worship their creator. Here is one the passages that confirms it.

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he (Abraham)sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”

Hebrews 11:8-10

The “city” spoken in here is “the New Jerusalem”, which is a literal city, the capital city of God’ heaven from where God rules the universe.

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”

Hebrews 11:16

The third heaven is not a mystical, mysterious place in the middle of nothing. God is not a spook, floating cloud or gosh, as many beliefs, but rather a divine being. It’s sad to hear people describing God, which shows they lack of knowledge of the scriptures. The bible described God as a trinity of persons. Yes, you read correctly. The hebrew word used for God in the O.T. is -‘ĕlôhı̂ym- which is a plural noun. It implied “plurality of persons”, If we translate the hebrew word as it is written, it will say “Gods”. Here are the meanings of the hebrew word -‘ĕlôhı̂ym-

  • Rulers, judges
  • Divine ones
  • Angels
  • Gods

Plural intensive – singular meaning:

  • god, goddess
  • godlike one
  • works or special possessions of God
  •  the (true) God

the meanings of the hebrew word -‘ĕlôhı̂ym- will depend upon the context in which its used. God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

1 John 5:7

If the hebrew word -‘ĕlôhı̂ym- is a plural noun when used with reference to God, indicating “plurality of persons”, why here in 1 John 5:7 it says “and these three are one“? In the only sense that God is one is in “unity”. When it comes to other areas the plurality of God is noticed. There are no contractions, nor confusion in the bible, but rather people taking passages out of their own context to based the own opinions. I just wanted to explain a bit about the hebrew word. Here is another passage that confirmed the usage of plurality of the hebrew word -‘ĕlôhı̂ym-

“And God (-‘ĕlôhı̂y-) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

Genesis 1:26

“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever”

Genesis 3:22

“And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Genesis 11:7

“And I (Jesus) will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

John 14:16-17

“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”

John 17:11

“That they (disciples) all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”

John 17:21

Again, the only sense in which God is one, is in the sense of UNITY. Paul explained the same type meaning in 1 Corinthians 12.

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”

1 Corinthians 12:12

I just wanted to provided you with passages that proves the plurality of God. The scriptures revealed a very limited information about God himself, since we have a very limited understanding. Even with such limited information, people have created many differents fallacies about God. It will become a time when God will reveal more details about himself to those who reach the state of perfection. We will spend all the eternity learning all the things that now we can’t comprehend. Satan has introduced a lot of twisted and corrupted ideas about God with the purpose of muddling God’s image.

Now, God’s ruling place is in the third heaven, where Lucifer wanted to be after he decided to invade it, as it is expressed in Isaiah 14:13.

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north”

The third heaven is located “…In the sides of the north” of the universe. Again, God’s heaven is a literal place, where the new Jerusalem is. The city will move from the third heaven to new earth, from where God will rule the universe for ever and ever.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

Revelation 21:1-3

In Isaiah 14 also shed a light about the people that had descended into hell. Let’s explain it:

“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.”

verse 9

This passage confirmed that “hell” is located “beneath” the earth, and not here on earth as many are teaching through fallacies. The hebrew word used for “beneath” is “tachath”, which means:

  • “the under part, beneath, instead of, as, for, for the sake of, flat, unto, where, whereas”
  • “in, under, into the place of (after verbs of motion) (in compounds)”
  • “from under, from beneath, from under the hand of, from his place, under, beneath”
  • “what is under one, the place in which one stands (noun masculine), in return for that, because that (conjunction)”

Jesus spoke of this place in the following passage:

“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

Matthew 12:40

Now, Isaiah 14:9 is says that “Hell from beneath is MOVED for THEE to MEET THEE at THY COMING”. What does it mean? This passage explains that “the people that are in hell are moved to meet others as they descent to hell”. The theory that all the dead in hell are “motionless” is not supported by the scriptures. Even when Jesus told the story of Lazarus in Luke 16, He expressed the emotions involved in the paradise and hell.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.”

Luke 16:19-21

Luke 16:19-31 is not a parable but rather a true story. A parable doesn’t use real people’s name as it is used in Luke:19-31.

“And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

verse 22-23

In verse 22 also provide the information about the assignment of angels in taking them into paradise after their passed away.

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

verse 24

Just as Isaiah 14:9, this passage shows that people in hell beneath are fully conscious of their surroundings. Also, it shows the emotions of the people after they arrived into hell. Notice how Jesus detailed the the acts of the rich man; “He cried”, “asked to Abraham to have mercy”, “asked him to send Lazarus”, “Lazarus finger”, “water”, “Cool HIS TONGUE”, “Feeling hurt by the flame”.

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”

verse 25

The passage above proved that saints can not answer requests. Also that people in hell never lose their memory after death. It also show the fulfilling of the following passage:

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Galatians 6:7

The story told by Jesus in Luke 16:19-31 open up the reality of those that has died without Christ as savior. It makes no difference weather people believes that hell is a real place, o not. What makes it real is the fact that The Word of God said it.

“And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”

Luke 16:26

“Between US and YOU” Here is stated that after death there are 2 different type of people; those been comforted and those being tormented”. Before the resurrection of Christ all the saints were taken to “Abraham’s bosom”, which was located in the center of the earth. Right after Jesus resurrection all the righteous were translated to the third heaven. There is no such thing as “purgatory” in the scriptures, it is a pagan belief made up by the catholic church to infuse guilt among the people for their deaths and at the same time, the church sold “certificates of pardon”. Once the person bought this certificate of pardon, the penitent souls in purgatory was released to heaven, but this is just one fallacy made up by the catholic church. Jesus said in Luke 16:22-23 that “the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom”, and ” the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom”. There’s no other place mention in the scriptures where the souls of those that had died will go to. The catholic church took advantage of the ignorance of the people at the time to sell these certificates de pardon, and also enriched themselves.

“Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”

Ephesians 4:8-10

Also, Abraham’s bosom and hell was separated by “a great gulf fixed”. Allow me to explain the meaning of the original greek words used here in Luke 16:26. The greek word used for “great” is “megas”, which means under the context of the story told by Jesus, “It’s in particular of space and its dimensions, respectively”. Now, This greek word takes more shape with the definition of the next word, which is “gulf”. From the greek “chasma”, which means, “a gaping opening, a chasm, a gulf, gape, crack, split”. The idea here is that such opening was really wide and deep. This is confirmed by the way Abraham answered to the supplication of the rich man. “…so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence”. Luke 16:26. The rich man in hell understood perfectly what Abraham say to him regarding the passing from one place to the other. Abraham told this rich man in hell what were the boundaries in that place, from which the rich man didn’t argue about it. curiously, The greek word used for “fixed” is “stērizō”, which means:

  • to make stable, place firmly, set fast, fix
  • to strengthen, make firm
  • to render constant, confirm, one’s mind

The word “stērizō” imply in the context of the text that “this great opening” between these 2 places, has being ” made firmly”, from which NO ONE CAN’T CROSS. Today, Abraham’s bosom is emptied, because all the righteous were translated to paradise in the third heaven. Here is a passage that proves that paradise is in the third heaven:

“It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up (translated or raptured) to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.”

2 Corinthians 12:1-3

God left this place called “Abraham’s bosom” as evidence to all those who are in hell to see.

These passages of the real story told by Jesus in Luke 16:19-31, is perfectly connected with the passage of Isaiah 14:9. Constantly people are descending into hell, who are received by those already there. There is not a moment of rest, or silence in hell. The same type of interaction that occured between Abraham and the rich man, takes place constantly between those in hell. Seldon you hear today any church preaching and warning people about hell, since satan has kept christians entertained in other issues. Hell is a real place, regardless of what satan’s doctrines might say. So, Isaiah 14:9-11 describe the details of people arriving in this place of torment.

One thing is for sure, the people that are in hell at this present moment knows the reality that they are in. Most of them didn’t expected to be there, but they are, and now they are fully aware of their terrible situation. Hell is a temporary place of torment for those that die in a state of rebellion, which is the result of their spiritual nature.

“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.”

Isaiah 14:9-11

The hebrew word used for “They POMP” is “gâ’ôn”, which means:

  • exaltation, majesty, pride, excellence related to God, nations, and of the Jordan.
  • pride, arrogance (bad sense)

The hebrew expression “gâ’ôn” used in Isaiah 14:11, it’s used in the absolute sense, which imply the arrogance of the antichrist when he is ruling in the great tribulation period.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Proverbs 16:18

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

Proverbs 8:13

“And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”

Isaiah 13:11

In the prophetic stage, Isaiah 14:9-11 expressed the moment when all the people in hell sees the antichrist descending into hell. He is mock by all those in hell. As any other passage of the scriptures, these verses of Isaiah 14:9-11 can be apply to any of those that have died without Christ as savior. Also, Isaiah 14:12-15 expressed the same type of teasing and contemptuous language against Lucifer, as he was thrown out of heaven by God.

Now, Isaiah 14:14 proves that Lucifer’s throne was here on earth, and not in heaven, as most people tend to believe. Let’s review the key words involve in the passage:

“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be Like the most High.”

Lucifer’s throne was located beneath the clouds here on earth. Clouds generally form within the troposphere, or the layer of atmosphere closest to the earth. The lack of studying the scriptures have created of form of misinformation, which expose them to false or inaccurate information, especially that which is deliberately intended to deceive. Lucifer wanted to ascend “above the highest of the clouds” with the purpose of become like God, as its stated in the end of the verse 14. “I will be like the most high God”. Lucifer saw the magnitude of the glory of God in the full sense of the expression. Then, he decided to set up a scheme, or master plan to invade the third heaven. He didn’t wanted to be limited by God anymore, he wanted to be like God, not having to obey anyone. In Isaiah 14 is revealed

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Verses 13-14

These 2 passages shows where Lucifer was placed by God to be tested. It says that Lucifer conceived his rebellion first in his heart, and he wanted to ascent from earth to above “The clouds”, above “The stars” and finally the third heaven. Once there, he wanted to dethrone, or remove God from heaven, but God was waiting for him. Lucifer was blinded by his pride and arrogance. Lucifer was not alone in this rebellion, since there were one third of the angels that also decided to rebel with him, and let’s not forget all the inhabitants, or occupants of the earth at the time. These residents of the earth at the time when Lucifer was ruling are described in Jeremiah 4:23-26. Let’s read them:

“I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.  I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.”

Let’s consider each expression:

  1. I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light“. Jeremiah saw the earth in the same way Moses saw it in Genesis 1:2. Chaos was upon the earth, which is the result of the judgement of God because of the rebellion of Lucifer. Jeremiah used the same words that Moses used. “..the earth was without form, and void”. The same hebrew words “tôhû va bôhû” are used by Jeremiah and Mosses in Gen. 1:2. Jeremiah 4:23-26 is the biblical context of Genesis 1:1-2; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19. Jeremiah 4:23-26 doesn’t apply to the period of time when God brought Noah’s flood as many are teaching. “…The heavens had NO LIGHT” verse 23, in the flood described in Noah’s days the heavens had lights.
  2. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly“. This described “an earthquake” that shocked the earth, because of the judgement of God upon the lucifer’s ruling. God placed Lucifer, and the angels in a temporary setting, so they can be tested and later to assign with eternal responsibilities. Lucifer, one third of the angels, and the pre-adamites failed this test, and were punished according to God’s laws. Lucifer lost his standing before God, and he became a fallen angel, along with the other angels. The rest of the creation was completely destroyed by the wrath of God, as it is described by Jeremiah 4:23-26.
  3. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled“. This verse describe the first state of the earth, which is connected with Genesis 1:1. Jeremiah mentioned “man and birds” here. Remember what Isaiah 45:18 said?

“For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.”

  1. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger“. Again, the language expressed by Jeremiah is very clear, there was a social system established. “fruitful place…..and ALL THE CITIES”. These cities were builded by man (v. 25). The scriptures limites the information about this subject, only giving us a small window of these events. Perhaps the remains of humans and animals that scientists have found beneath the ground belongs to these events. One thing that I always keep in my is that God knows why he kept some events hidden from us. Observe what Moses wrote in the book of Deuteronomy about this:

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

Deuteronomy 29:29
  1. “were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger”. Everything was destroyed because it was part of the rebellion against God, led by Lucifer. These passages can explain the chaos in which the universe is described in Genesis 1:2. The anger of The Lord came down to the creation for their collaboration with Lucifer, everything was destroyed by a universal flood.

“And the earth was (became) without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Genesis 1:2

The bottom line is that God created the heavens and the earth Perfect. Genesis 1:1 and the creation became in a chaotic state because of the rebellion of Lucifer. Genesis 1:2. The wrath of God came down to the creation and destroyed it because of their sin. They sinned when they crossed the boundaries, and decided to rebel against God’s laws. Isaiah 14:12-15 proves Lucifer’s decision to rebel, and planification of invasion of the third heaven. But instead, he was punished as it is stated in Isaiah 14:15.

“Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”

This also apply to anyone that tries to be like The Most High God using deceiving ways like Lucifer did.

Also there is a record of the fall of Lucifer in the book of Ezekiel 28:11-19. We must keep in mind that the scriptures can not details very events that took place in the past, that will make the books of the bible thicker. The bible contains the basic rules by which every man must abide. The scriptures shows us the moral boundaries that we’re supposed to obey, from which present-time men have departed from.

The passages of Ezekiel 28:11-19 shows very clear the boundaries that Lucifer crossed, and the consequences of doing that; Let’s review them:

Note: In Ezekiel 28:12 it is used a principal of double reference, in which a physical person is used to refer a spiritual being. When using a double reference principle, the student must abide by the context of the text, and the subject matter of any passage, to extract the right interpretation. The prince of Tyre in Ezekiel 28:12 is a shadow of his real ruler, satan. We must keep in mind that every evil ruler on earth is a reflexion of their master; in the case of Ezekiel 28:12. This Prince of Tyre is nothing more than a reflexion of satan, and in the prophetic passage both are addressed. To separate the section that applies to either the prince of Tyre and Lucifer, any passage that can not be apply to a human must be apply to Lucifer. Keeping the harmony of each passage is vital to maintain the integrity of ach passage of the scriptures. We MUST NOT force any personal interpretation to any passage, but rather keep a neutral position and we have to exam all the respectives pasages that refer to the same.

“Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.”

Ezekiel 28:11-12

Here are the explanations of each keyword involve on this passage:

  • Thou sealest up the sum“. The hebrew word used for “sealest up” is “châtham”, which means; “to seal, seal up, affix a seal, to lock up, to be stopped”. From the ancient hebrew the key word above means; “To seal, or mark something closed”. The other hebrew word used is “toknı̂yth”, for “sum”, which means; “measurement, pattern, proportion, admeasurement, that is, consummation”. From the ancient hebrew it means; “An amount weighted out”.
  • Full of wisdom“. The word “Full” comes from the ancient hebrew-Aramaic word -mâlê-, which means; “full or fully (literally or figuratively), fullness, that which fills, therein, all, fill, handful, multitude, as is worth”. “As one who is full of authority”. [Aramaic only]. The hebrew word used for “wisdom” is “chokmâh”, which means; “shrewdness, wisdom, wisely, skilful, wits”. In the case apply in the passage the word implied the capacities, and skills that was given to Lucifer when God created him. This shows the capabilities that Lucifer used to convinced one third of the angels of heaven, and the pre-adamites to rebel against God. This is the reason why God punished Lucifer with such fierce, wrath, fury, wrathful, or displeasure. Not only Lucifer but all those that decided to followed him. Jeremiah 4:23-26. After the millennial kingdom of Christ ends up, satan and all the rebels will be punish in the lake of fire for all eternity. Revelation 20:10-15. Lucifer used the wisdom that God gave to him for his own benefit.
  • Perfect in beauty“. The hebrew word used for “perfect” is “kâlı̂yl”, which means:
  1. “entire, all, perfect (adjective)”
  2. “entirety (substantive)”
  3. “whole, whole burnt offering, holocaust, entirety (substantive). “the whole” (specifically a sacrifice entirely consumed)”
  4. “complete. perfect, wholly, perfection, utterly, whole”

I must emphasize that every meaning of the original hebrew word, it should be determined by the context of the text, and by the subject matter. In the case of Ezekiel 28:12 the hebrew word “kâlı̂yl” it is used in reference to “the perfect beauty of a perfect creature”, and it’s not applicable to any sinful person. So, this explanation clearly settles the argument that Ezekiel 28:12 it refers to an earthly king. Now, let’s define the hebrew word used for “beauty”, in Ezekiel 28:12. In the hebrew language “beauty” is “yŏphı̂y”, which imply the idea of beauty that goes beyond the normal. In fact, Lucifer’s beauty was the origin of his pride, and fall.

“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty..”

Ezekiel 28:17

“Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil

1 Timothy 3:6

I could explain here a bit more deeper but the expressed idea is clear. As in other passages of the scriptures, God opened up the events that took placed in the past to shows us what really happened in such events. Through Ezekiel God has revealed the creation of Lucifer, and some of the attributes that was given to him. It also detailed how Lucifer got corrupted by committing a sinful act, which was his downfall.

Let’s keep explaining the next passage in Ezekiel 28 that refers to the creation and fall of Lucifer. When God created Lucifer, God established boundaries along with power to rule. Ezekiel 28:11-19 describes them:

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Ezekiel 28:13

The expression “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God“, Can NOT be applied to any earthly person, but rather a celestial being. Obviously, here in Ezekiel 28:13 is a reference to Lucifer, who was placed in Eden to rule the earth. This period of time is paced in Genesis 1:1, when everything was perfect, and complete harmony. The period of time of lucifer ruling the earth and its inhabitants is not reveal, neither the period in which the heavens and the earth became “without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep” as it is described in Genesis 1:2. But Lucifer was the ruler of earth way before the days of Adam’s creation. This “Eden the garden of God” was destroyed along with everything in it, because of the rebellion of lucifer and all the creatures that followed him. I must clarify that “the garden of Eden” used in relationship with lucifer, IS NOT the same mentioned with reference to Adam. Even though lucifer was in Adam’s garden as it is shown in Genesis 3.

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

Genesis 3:1

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

2 Corinthians 11:3

The greek word used for “subtitly” is “panourgia”, which means, “craftiness, cunning, a specious (superficially plausible, but actually wrong, misleading in appearance, especially misleadingly attractive) or false wisdom”, these meanings are applied to any type of falsehood. The word can be used in a good sense, prudence, skill, in undertaking and carrying on affairs. The usage of this word will depend upon the context in which is use, and the subject matter.

Lucifer knew the real meaning of been established as the head of the garden of Eden, he wanted to regain such position, but now he will use his corrupted wisdom. Twisting every word that God will speak to man. Unfortunately, Adam failed his test and succumbed to satan’s lies; he became slave of a satanic nature, without God and in spiritual darkness. Adam was careless with the responsibility of guard and protect the garden, and that reason he lost the right to rule it.

To be continue….!
