Topic: Justification, The price was paid.

The concept about justification is simply, “declaring God to all mankind free from condemnation and acceptable to him. It also implies that God gave His divine justice to those who willingly accept their sacrifice. ”

Some points about justification:

  1. Justification is by faith. Rom 3:24-25, 4:1-25, 5:1, Galatians 2:16, 3:24.
  2. Justification is the universal remedy for sin: Rom. 3:24-31, 4:1-25.

Another parallel word for “Justification” is “Redeem” which means;

  1. Buy again.
  2. Make free.
  3. Redemption.

As stated in Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood..”. God provided the only sacrifice sufficient to restore man to the position from which he had fallen.

Read and compare the following passages:

  1. Romans 3:23-25, 4:24-25, 5:1-2, 8:1-4, 10:43; Acts 13:39
  2. Acts 10:43, 13:39
  3. Galatians 3:19-20
  4. Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9
  5. Colossians 2:11-17
  6. 1 John 1:9

The justification made us acceptable to God:

Ephesians 1:6 say “… to which (grace) we accepted in the Beloved.” Compare also Ephesians 2:14-22, 2 Cor. 5:14-21, Col. 2:11-17.

Justification is by:

  1. Through God. Rom. 3:26
  2. Through the Resurrection of Christ. Rom. 4:25
  3. Through the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 6:11
  4. Through the Blood. Rom 3:24-28
  5. Through divine grace. Rom. 3:24, Titus 3:7
  6. Through Faith Acts 13:39, Rom. 5:1
  7. Through Prayer. Luke 18:14
  8. Through Obedience. Rom. 5:18

Justification reflects not only God’s plan to redeem mankind, but also the following:

  1. The Love of God expressed by humanity expressed in the sacrifice of Christ.
  2. The Divine will and purpose for us.
  3. Reflects Divine Justice and the fulfillment of the promises of God.

We must recognize the following truths:

  1. We all sin. Rom. 1:18 to 3:18, 23.
  2. That we are all guilty before divine justice. Rom. 3:19-20.
  3. That the Law of Moses could not justify anyone. Rom. 3:20.
  4. Condemns the law only. Rom. 3:20.
  5. That God has provided redemption through faith in Christ Jesus. Rom. 3:21-26
  6. That all boasting is excluded and that man cannot save himself. Rom. 3:27.
  7. That man is justified only by accepting the plan of redemption provided by God. Rom. 3:28

Justification is summarized in one sentence: God sent his beloved son to pay the price for mankind and through that sacrifice made the righteousness of God in this world.

“God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21
